I’ve photographed a lot of weddings, and the Carnegie Museum of Art is hands down my favorite wedding venue. A Carnegie Museum of Art wedding is guaranteed to transport you and your guests to an entirely different place and time. It makes the most awe-inspiring background for any wedding. Chris and Lindsay’s elegant celebration felt right at home in this venue.

A Carnegie Museum of Art Wedding

This museum is so big that you have eight different event spaces to choose from for a wedding celebration. Lindsay and Chris had their ceremony in the pillar-lined Hall of Sculpture and their ceremony in the elegant Carnegie Music Hall Foyer. We took wedding party photos in the breathtaking Hall of Architecture as well.

Rental costs for a Carnegie Museum of Art wedding range between $3,000 and $8,000. Packages include working with the museum’s exclusive caterer. This is such a grand venue that elegant florals and decor fit in perfectly. Even Lindsay’s dress looked like a work of art.

A Creative Celebration for Lindsay and Chris

Lindsay reached out to me to photograph her Carnegie Museum of Art wedding because we’d worked together previously - for her senior portraits! Obviously, a lot of time had passed, but she had such a good experience that she reached out to me when she was ready to tie the knot with Chris. I’m so grateful she did! Not only was the museum a jaw-dropping wedding venue, but Chris and Lindsay’s people were wonderful to be around.

One of my favorite moments of the day was Lindsay’s first look with her bridesmaids. They were all so incredibly excited for her, and many started to cry once they saw her. Even in a formal setting like the Hall of Architecture, their genuine love for Lindsay was the only thing that anyone could focus on. The wedding party photos were such a great mix of candid and editorial moments.
