Jacey & Andrew’s wedding was an extra special one for me. I’ve known Jacey since 2011 when we started working at a non profit together (we worked together for nearly 4 years!). I can’t even tell you when i met Andrew because i truly cannot remember him not being in my life some how.
I knew these two separately and slowly started to watch their paths cross. Something in our guts all knew these two were meant to be. It’s been almost 7 years since Jacey and i were in the office talking about what her wedding would be like one day, so it was entirely emotional to be apart of this day with them. I kept having memories and flash backs hit me as i walked through their wedding day with them and i kept getting the happiest of tears in my eyes behind the lens.
These two got married at River Ridge Farm, aka The Castle, aka the Sibley Mansion. Andrew’s family manages this property and Andrew grew up running around this castle. Jacey lived there for years as well working part- time for the Tygert family in order to help keep up with the estate. This place means so much to these two and it ties into their story! We even had their first look in the same chapel on a hill where they got engaged.
Another thing that ties into their story: Punxsutawney Phil! Andrew works as a teacher in Punxsutawney and dove head first into all the silly traditions of Groundhog’s Day. Jacey is always there with him bundled up in a coat and support in the wee hours of the morning when Phil is about to possibly see his shadow.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Tygert! I know this is only the start of an amazing life to come.
